Step 4 - Removing tiles and brickwork forming
the hob
Removal
of the old waterproofing and brick hob.
An electric jack hammer is recommended to knock the
hob edge inwards toward the shower area.
This reduces the risk of damaging the outer floor tile
area.
Before dismantling the hob edge of the shower, mark
the existing height of the old tile hob - this assists
the installation of the new hob to a similar finished
height.
If the sheet floor substrate is decayed, it may have
to be replaced.
